The all-new 2008 Honda Accord is larger in all interior and exterior dimensions and is hitting the market with a bang! It is bigger, better and more powerful. It moves the world of mainstream transportation in a refined and sophisticated direction with innovative technologies designed for greater efficiency, more power and enhanced safety.
When you look at an all-new 2008 Honda Accord on the outside, it is much taller, wider, and longer. On the inside, it is much roomier. The 3.3 cubic feet additional interior space was enough to bump it into the “larger car.” The additional space is intended to provide “equal” seating comfort for front and rear passengers. Other additions include an 18.5-fuel tank and a variable gear ratio steering. Several features will come standard on all Accord trim levels including Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), audio control buttons on the steering wheel, and 100 percent use of a four-wheel disc brakes.
The 2008 Honda Accord is available in sedan and coupe body styles with a 2.4-liter, 4-cylinder and 3.5-liter V-6 engine choices.
Its interior is filled with plenty of whistles which include a power driver’s seat, cruise control, and three impressive audio systems – all with MP3/WMA playback capability and an auxiliary input jack. Some options, depending on the trim level, include a 6-disc in-dash CD changer, 270 watts total amplification and seven speakers including an 8-inch subwoofer. XM satellite radio is standard equipment on all Accord EX-L models. Also available on the higher-end sedans and coupes are Navigation and Bluetooth hands-free system.
The 2008 Honda Accord’s fuel remains reasonable despite the increase in performance and size. The 4-cylinder models with its 5-speed manual transmission yield 22 miles per gallon in the city and 31 miles per gallon in the highway.
The 2008 Honda Accord’s front-drive chassis’ basic elements return with a performance-inspired double-wishbone front suspension and an all-independent multi-link rear suspension to provide a world-class dynamics.

On the safety front, the all new 2008 Honda Accord get four-wheel disc brakes with ABS, tire pressure monitoring systems, stability control and airbags. The dual-chamber, side-impact airbags come standard in the front seats and provides a unique new safety features. The airbag has two separate chambers, one for the pelvis and one for the torso. This, Honda claims, is a new design which is very effective in minimizing potential injuries caused by large SUVs and pickups. The 2008 Honda Accord's genuinely qualify as muscle cars with its more than four times horsepower on board as the original 68-hp 1976 Accord.
